BRAND IDENTITY + ART DIRECTION + DESIGN + WEB
While Ivan Trushin was employed at Minneapolis-based design agency SixSpeed, Volition America approached the agency to create a new brand and marathon event bold enough to be made into a movement. The brand had a cause, a hero and a vision, the goal was to combine all the pieces into a winning package. The creative team was tasked with creating an identity, marketing materials, newsletters, apparel, event branding, course signage, course maps and brand language.
As the Art Director and a hands-on designer on the project, Ivan Trushin was tasked with bringing the brand to life and seeing that the branding was consistently applied to all assets. Traditional imagery of the American flag combined with military-inspired patterns and design elements incorporated the brand’s proud, American, veteran foundation into the identity. The combination proved to be a heroic look for everything from posters and apparel to the marathon course itself.
A new, fully-responsive site was designed and developed to launch the new brand and marathon events.
A COMPLETE KIT OF PRINT COLLATERAL WAS CREATED TO SUPPORT THE BRAND. FROM MARKETING CAMPAIGNS TO ON-SITE POSTERS TO P.O.P. DISPLAYS, WE COVERED IT ALL.
TO HELP THE BRAND CONTINUE ITS LEGACY, WE OUTFITTED VOLITION WITH A COMPLETE SET OF BRAND STANDARDS TO MAINTAIN ITS CONSISTENCY.
TO COMPLETE THE BRANDING, AN ENTIRE EVENT COURSE WAS DESIGNED COMPLETE WITH DIRECTIONAL SIGNAGE, START & FINISH GATES, FENCING, AWARDS, MAPS AND APPAREL.
